Bergen Ungdomsstorband (BUS) was established by Bergen Kulturskole in September 2005 and offers a program for particularly interested and talented musicians in Vestland, aged 12 to 19. In collaboration with various guest artists, the big band has long been a regular feature at Nattjazz. Over the past 20 years, a large number of BUS members have gone on to pursue professional careers in music. This year, former members Lyder Røed, Aksel Røed, and Øivind Dale are invited back to BUS as soloists and composers for the festival concert!
