Daniel Herskedal is a performer and composer who has not only defied the conventions of the tuba, but has resolutely pushed boundaries both technically and sonically, resulting in a captivating and fascinating expression. He has toured with Django Bates and Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, in addition to a close collaboration with Marius Neset. Beneath the elegant and melodic themes that make up the compositions, there are – alongside the virtuosic tuba playing – two superb musicians in Helge Norbakken (Mari Boine, Kari Bremnes, Maria João) and Eyolf Dale (Hayden Powell, Albatrosh). The trio will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025 with a new album.
