In addition to being a professor at the Grieg Academy, Magne Thormodsæter works around the world with artists such as Karl-Martin Almqvist, Nduduzo Makhathini, and Hildegunn Øiseth. In his own ensemble, The Magne Thormodsæter Quartet, he is responsible for all compositions and arrangements, ensuring that the music creates space for his fellow musicians, allowing each of their musical personalities to shine. He is joined by the young super talent Emma Rawicz, already established as a jazz solo artist and sought-after soloist with larger orchestras, Danish-Swedish Anton Eger from RKDIA, who shook us up at Sardinen during the 2023 festival, and the brilliant Espen Berg – one of the most creative pianists in Scandinavia.
