Sparkling, energetic interplay with references to classical impressionism, American 1960s free jazz, and 1980s pop meets collective stretches focused on texture and timbre, interspersed with explosive solo sections. Sondre Moshagen Lightning Trio met at the jazz program in Trondheim in the fall of 2022. After last year's edition of the launch program Jazzintro, the trio was named Young Jazz Musicians of the Year 2024 and will be seen at a number of festivals as part of the launch. From the jury: "The compositions are of high quality, with a lot of rhythmic authority that creates vast musical spaces. The melodic and harmonic ideas give them a unique identity that creates beautiful moments. The confidence and presence in the band is contagious and makes you curious to hear more."

Jazzintro is the country’s largest and only national launch program for young jazz musicians. Through the program, the Young Jazz Musicians of the Year are selected, who will then embark on a festival tour in the following year, in addition to receiving a tailored mentorship program. Jazzintro is organized by the Norwegian Jazz Forum, in collaboration with several of the country's largest jazz clubs and festivals. Jazzintro is held with support from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB and Talent Norge.
